The RX-105 Xi Gundam is a powerful fifth-generation Mobile Suit constructed by Anaheim Electronics. The RX-105 Xi Gundam was one of the first Mobile Suits to use a built-in Monovsky Flight Unit, providing incredible atmospheric flight capabilities. Anaheim Electronics also equipped the RX-105 Xi Gundam with a unique set of Funnel Missiles controlled with Psycommu technology. Mafty, an anti-Federation resistance organization, would procure the RX-105 Xi Gundam for their attack on the Adelaide Conference, where it faced off against the RX-104FF Penelope.

Articulation –

The SD Xi Gundam features an entirely new construction supported by an array of polycaps, as it was the first rendition of this Mobile Suit in the SD BB Senshi line! The SD BB Senshi is the longest-running Gunpla line in history, beginning in 1987 and still receiving new entries almost 40 years later! Each model in this line features a simple construction with basic articulation to create different poses. The SD Xi Gundam includes two Funnel Missile effects to recreate the activation of this powerful weapon. This model also features an adorable rendition of the Me02R Messer riding on a Galcezon that builders can attach to the included display stand. Bandai provided a sheet of color-correcting stickers to help builders recreate the Mobile Suit’s on-screen appearance right out of the box!

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the BB Senshi #386 RX-105 XI Gundam with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking Decals. Top Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
