The JMF13-36R Rising Gundam is a Neo Japananse Mobile Fighter from Mobile Fighter G Gundam, which takes place in a new Gundam Universe centered around a global fighting tournament instead of the typical conflict between Earth and the Space Colonies. Each competing nation duels with unique Mobile Fighters, fighting each other in one-on-one battles until a single Gundam remains standing. The victorious nation is granted rule over all of Earth’s space colonies for four years until the next Gundam Fight begins. Neo-Japan constructed the JMF13-36R Rising Gundam alongside the GF13-017NJ Shining Gundam, equipping the Rising Gundam with actual combat equipment instead of the dueling equipment used by the 13th Gundam Fight’s participants.

Included alongside the HG Rising Gundam for accessories:

  • Heat Naginata
  • Beam Bow
  • Beam Machine Gun
  • Rising Shield

The HG 1/100 Rising Gundam is so old that it predates the current definition of a High Grade Gundam model! This series of HG G Gundam model kits certainly feel like their smaller successors during assembly, primarily utilizing hollow armor parts supported by an array of polycaps to provide the model with its range of motion. The HG 1/100 Rising Gundam features early iterations of double-jointed knees and elbows, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. This model also features a removable Core Lander with a brief transformation for individual display.

The HG 1/100 Rising Gundam’s Beam Bow offers a functional transformation into its deployed state. Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HG Rising Gundam with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
