HG IBO #09 UGY-R41 Man Rodi

$13.99

The UGY-R41 Man Rodi is a heavily armored mass production Mobile Suit constructed using the Rodi Frame, a versatile frame produced in massive quantities during the Calamity War. The UGY-R41 Man Rodi is a product of the Brewers, a pirate organization operating in the Outer Sphere. The Brewers outfitted the Man Rodi with heavy armor plating, almost exceeding the Rodi Frame’s maximum weight capacity. The Man Rodi also benefits from an array of vernier thrusters throughout its frame to help negate the weight of its armor. Even with the additional thrusters, this configuration would fail to operate adequately during atmospheric combat. After acquiring several Man Rodi units, Tekkedan would modify them into the UGY-R41 Landman Rodi to serve alongside their existing Mobile Suit forces on Earth.

Included alongside the HG Man Rodi for accessories:

  • 90mm Submachine Gun
  • Hammer Chopper

Articulation
 –

The HG Man Rodi was the first HG IBO model to utilize the Rodi Frame, providing a new and exciting building experience suitable for modelers of all skill levels. The Rodi Frame features a combination of hollow armor parts and internal frame components, all supported by an array of polycaps. The HG Man Rodi features double-jointed limbs and swiveling thighs, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The Man Rodi includes the 90mm Submachine Gun as its primary armament. This lightweight weapon is a common sight amongst pirate organizations, who favor the 90mm Submachine Gun for its affordability and availability. This weapon attaches to the HG Man Rodi’s back skirt for storage. The Man Rodi also sorties with the Hammer Chopper for close-quarters engagements. This weapon features a chopping blade on one side and a hammerhead on the opposite side, allowing the pilot to deliver varied attacks by changing the weapon’s orientation. The Hammer Chopper also features a built-in thruster to amplify the weapon’s striking power.

HG IBO #09 Man Rodi

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HG IBO #09 Man Rodi with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
