HG IBO #26 EB-04 Geirail

$13.99

The EB-04 Geirail is a mass-production Mobile Suit developed by Gjallarhorn and is the predecessor of the EB-06 Graze that makes up the bulk of their military force during the events of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. Unlike Mobile Suit developed during the Calamity War, Gjallarhorn designed the EB-04 Geirail to deter resistance to Gjallarhorn’s rule instead of combating powerful Mobile Armors. Gjallarhorn would use the Calamity War-era Valkryja Frame utilized by the Grimgerde to design the EB-04 Geirail’s frame, which after some further improvements, would become the Graze Frame. This particular example of the EB-04 Geirail is the personal Mobile Suit of Galan Mossa and features several modifications that prevent targets from correctly identifying the Mobile Suit.

Included alongside the HG Geirail for accessories:

  • 110mm Rifle
  • Shield-Axe
  • Back Hover Unit

Articulation
 –

The HG Geirail utilizes several parts from the Graze Frame runner first used in the HG IBO #02 Graze Standard Type/Commander Type, showcasing the development lineage of Gjallarhorn’s post-Calamity War Mobile Suits. This model features double-jointed limbs and swiveling thighs, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. The HG Geirail features a complete internal construction supported by an array of polycaps. Builders can change the position of the HG Geirail’s head sensor to replicate the Mobile Suit’s long-range scanning mode.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The HG Geirail includes a 110mm Rifle as its primary weapon. This weapon is semi-automatic, unlike the GR-W01 120mm Rifle used by the Graze, and features an articulated forward grip for improved accuracy. The EB-04 Geirail’s Shield Axe is a unique, multipurpose armament that is a common choice for mercenaries like Galan Mossa because of its versatility and small form factor. Builders can attach the Shield Axe to the Mobile Suit’s forearm to replicate Shield Mode. The Back Hover Unit included with this model attaches to the back of the Mobile Suit’s waist and is compatible with other models from the HG IBO line right out of the box!

HG IBO #26 Geirail

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HG IBO #26 Geirail with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
