HG IBO #31 V08Re-0526 Helmwige Reincar

The Helmwige Reincar is one of the very few Mobile Suits constructed around the Valkyrja Frame. The Helmwige design dates back to the Calamity War and is one of the original configurations used for the Valkyrja Frame. Unlike the Grimgerde, Helmwige Reincar focuses on increased defensive capabilities and relies on its massive Valkyrja Buster Sword to deliver devastating blows to its targets. Helmwige Reincar’s distinctive horns can produce a deadly electric shock to immobile targets, destroying their machine from the inside out. This configuration allowed Helmwige to engage Mobile Armors more efficiently but limited its performance against other Mobile Suits. The Helmwige Reincar is famed for having its weapon stolen by Gundam Barbatos Lupus while facing off against the deadly Mobile Armor Hashmal.

Articulation –

The Helmwige Reincar borrows its internal construction from the HG Grimgerde, as both Mobile Suits use the Valkyrja Frame as their base. In Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, the Montag Company rebuilt the Grimgerde using all-new armor parts, creating the Helmwige Reincar. Helmwige Reincar features all the articulation points you’d expect to find in an HG IBO model, including double jointed knees and swiveling thighs. This model also includes optional ground-type feet to recreate the deployment of Helmwige Reincar’s transformable feet, increasing its stability under gravity.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The Valkyrja Buster Sword is a gigantic, anti-MA weapon dating back to the Calamity War. This weapon features a removable counterweight, serving as the Buster Sword’s balance or a single-handed blunt weapon. Builders can change the position of the attached weight by sliding the weapon’s handle inward. The Helmwige Reincar also includes an adapter for its front skirt, allowing builders to store the Valkyrja Buster Sword across the Mobile Suit’s waist, just like in the anime! Helmwige Reincar can also hand-hold the stored Buster Sword by attaching the manipulator to the weapon’s handle guard.
