The GAT-X103AP Verde Buster Gundam is an improved version of the stolen Buster Gundam constructed for the Phantom Pain, an organization operating outside the influence of OMNI Enforcer. The GAT-X103AP Verde Buster Gundam adds tons of firepower to the original Buster Gundam and features more accurate sensors for long-range targets. Compared to its predecessor, the GAT-X103AP Verde Buster Gundam is better suited for close-quarters combat thanks to the giant bayonets mounted to each Beam Rifle. These weapons made the Verde Buster much more versatile and allowed the Phantom Pain to sortie the Mobile Suit in almost any situation. The GAT-X103AP Verde Buster Gundam’s iconic face shield protects its high-powered sensors during close-quarters engagements but, more importantly, gives this design a truly unique appearance!

Articulation –

The GAT-X103AP Verde Buster Gundam borrows almost all of its components from the original High Grade Buster Gundam. In fact, it’s possible to build the High Grade Buster Gundam using the pieces from the GAT-X103AP Verde Buster Gundam! Many components, such as the original kneecaps, are re-used for the additional armor plating on each shoulder! The GAT-X103AP Verde Buster Gundam is an excellent choice for builders who’d like to see just how clever Bandai can get! The build features double jointed knees and swiveling thighs, providing the HG GAT-X103AP Verde Buster Gundam with excellent dynamic posing capabilities.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The original Buster Gundam featured a 94mm Beam Cannon and a 350mm Gun Launcher attached to its waist-mounted sub-arms. These weapons are now shoulder-mounted, which frees up the GAT-X103AP Verde Buster Gundam’s manipulators, but prevents the pair from combining as the Buster Gundam’s configuration would allow. Attached to the waist-mounted sub arms are a new set of Composite Beam Rifles. Each rifle features an unfolding bayonet capable of piercing Non-Phase-Shift armor, making the GAT-X103AP Verde Buster Gundam more viable in close-quarters engagements. For longer-range attacks, the two Beam Rifles combine to enter Twin Cannon Mode!

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HG Seed #42 GAT-X103AP Verde Buster Gundam with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking Decals. Top Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
