HG The Origin #02 RTX-65 Guntank Early Type

$22.99

The RTX-65 Guntank Early Type is one of the first iterations of Mobile Weapons adopted by the Earth Federation before the One Year War. The Guntank was a revolutionary development in weaponized vehicles, exceeding the size of previous prototypes by almost 10 meters! The Guntank Early Type features a massive humanoid torso with a pair of manipulator’s arms loaded with four autocannons each atop its treads, showcasing the Federation’s new design philosophy. The Guntank Early Type also features a pair of shoulder-mounted cannons for engaging targets at range using heavy ordnance munitions. The Federation’s reasoning behind developing such an overwhelmingly large and powerful machine was to quell Anti-Federation sentiment in the Space Colonies through fear-mongering. This plan quickly failed and led to the formation of the Principality of Zeon, who would go on to create a massive force of Mobile Suits to combat the Federation.

Articulation –

The HG Guntank Early Type features an all-new construction supported by an array of polycaps, providing builders of all skill levels with a fun and exciting build. The Mobile Weapon features a rotating torso and double-jointed elbows, helping builders create convincing action poses! The Guntank Early Type’s treads connect to the main body with a ball-jointed assembly, giving each extremity a small range of motion for a more dynamic feel. The Guntank Early Type does not feature rolling treads, instead opting for a more simple fixed assembly to maintain the proper proportions.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The RTX-65 Guntank Early Type’s shoulder-mounted cannons articulate vertically and horizontally, each featuring a pair of moving pistons to give the model a more realistic feel. The gun barrels protruding from the RTX-65 Guntank Early Type’s manipulators come molded in the proper color right out of the box, showcasing Bandai’s commitment to color accuracy that characterizes the HG The Origin Lineup! This model includes a small sheet of marking stickers for builders to customize their RTX-65 Guntank Early Type.

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HG The Origin #02 RTX-65 Guntank Early Type with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
