HG00 #31 GN-001 Gundam Exia Trans-AM Mode

$14.99

The Gundam Exia is a third-generation Close Combat Mobile Suit constructed by Celestial Being, a paramilitary organization dedicated to remedying global conflicts with their highly advanced Mobile Suit forces. Through years of research, Celestial Being was able to develop revolutionary GN Drives, providing their Mobile Suits with an almost limitless power supply. The GN Drives also exude powerful GN Particles, which grant the Gundam Exia fantastic maneuverability, amongst other benefits. The Gundam Exia’s sparse armor placement furthers the mobility and range of motion by a great deal, perfect for getting in close to targets. The Gundam Exia’s armor placement ensured full mobility but exposed vitals during movement, reducing the Mobile Suit’s defensive capabilities. The main protagonist of Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Setsuna F. Seiei, piloted the Gundam Exia during the series’ first season.

Included alongside the HG Gundam Exia Trans-Am Mode for accessories:

  • GN Sword
  • GN Long Blade
  • GN Short Blade
  • GN Shield
  • Beam Saber Hilt x4
  • Beam Saber (Unpainted)

The HG Gundam Exia Trans-Am Mode is identical to the previously released HG00 #01 GN-001 Gundam Exia, aside from the gloss-injected color scheme representing the activation of Trans-AM Mode! The HG Gundam Exia Trans-Am Mode features an entirely new construction supported by an array of polycaps, as this was the first model in the HG00 line! This model features double-jointed knees, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. Bandai provided a small sheet of color-correcting stickers to help builders recreate the HG Gundam Exia Trans-Am Mode’s on-screen appearance right out of the box!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The GN Sword is HG Gundam Exia Trans-Am Mode’s primary weapon, functioning as a high-powered melee weapon or Beam Rifle, depending on the blade’s orientation. The HG Gundam Exia Trans-Am Mode includes two more physical-bladed weapons attached to its side skirt armor. This pair of blades carry the unique ability to disable GN Shields to counter any potential betrayers from using their Mobile Suit against Celestial Being. The HG Gundam Exia Trans-Am Mode also sorties with four traditional Beam Saber hilts attached to its back. Bandai provided an unpainted activated Beam Saber for builders to display with this model.

Description

HG00 #31 GN-001 Gundam Exia Trans-AM Mode

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HG00 #31 GN-001 Gundam Exia Trans-AM Mode with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
