HGAC #228 XXXG-01SR Gundam Sandrock

The XXXG-01SR Gundam Sandrock is a fan favorite amongst the G-Team Gundam Mobile Suits and has joined the HGAC lineup after almost 20 years without a new 1/144 renditions of this excellent design. Professor H built the XXXG-01SR Gundam Sandrock with the support of the Winner Family, whose heir would eventually become the sole pilot of the Sandrock. The XXXG-01SR Gundam Sandrock was designed for desert combat and is especially effective in melee combat. Of the G-Team Gundams, the XXXG-01SR Gundam Sandrock is the most heavily armored, which, coupled with Quatre’s exceptional piloting skill, made the XXXG-01SR Gundam Sandrock almost invincible!

Articulation –

The HGAC XXXG-01SR Gundam Sandrock will provide a highly articulate final product thanks to its thigh-swivel gimmick and double-jointed limbs! There are two polycap connections in the torse to give the XXXG-01SR Gundam Sandrock a dynamic look, especially in an action pose. Bandai kept the piece count under 150, making this a perfect choice for builders of any skill level. The XXXG-01SR Gundam Sandrock is a little smaller than the average 1/144 scale Gundam but retains an excellent shelf presence thanks to its awesome loadout!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The XXXG-01SR Gundam Sandrock’s primary weapons are a pair of Heat Shotels. The Heat Shotels generate an immense amount of heat, enough to slice clean an enemy Mobile Suit down the middle. Bandai included two transparent red blade effect parts to recreate the activated Heat Shotels. When not deployed, the Heat Shotels plug into the XXXG-01SR Gundam Sandrock’s backpack. The Shield also attaches to the backpack when not in use. To recreate the XXXG-01SR Gundam Sandrock’s Cross Crusher, detach the weapon-equipped backpack and reattach it to the attachment point on the unit’s forearm. This weapon ensnares enemy Mobile Suits and quickly makes two halves of it before they inevitably explode in a blaze of glory.
