HGAC #236 XXXG-01H Gundam Heavyarms

The XXXG-01H Gundam Heavyarms shares a similar backstory with the other G-Team Gundams. Like the XXXG-01SR Gundam Sandrock, the XXXG-01H Gundam Heavyarms specialized in land-based combat but, in terms of firepower, is much closer to the original XXXG-0W00 Wing Gundam Zero. The XXXG-01H Gundam Heavyarms sports an immense loadout of onboard weapons, which, coupled with its Gundanium exterior, makes this suit a true force to be reckoned with. This HGAC rendition of the XXXG-01H Gundam Heavyarms comes almost 20 years after the last 1/144 version of this design, so be sure to pick this one up when available!

• Beam Gatling

Articulation –

The XXXG-01H Gundam Heavyarms borrows many of its internal components from the previously released XXXG-01SR Gundam Sandrock. The HGAC XXXG-01H Gundam Heavyarms can take on any pose you throw at it, thanks to its double-jointed limbs, thigh swivel, and the pair of ball joints connecting the waist and torso. This model kit uses a handful of color-correcting stickers to fill in small gaps, but the overall color accuracy of the XXXG-01H Gundam Heavyarms is quite good. The XXXG-01H Gundam Heavyarms features multiple opening hatches with well-detailed missile arrays underneath each. The butt flap even articulates a small amount, allowing for more dynamic poses, even on one knee!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

This wouldn’t be a description for the XXXG-01H Gundam Heavyarms without talking about the Mobile Suit’s impressive loadout. Inside the chest hatches, there are two giant Gatling Guns and on opposite sides of the head, two Machine Cannons which fire ballistic rounds. Hidden within the shoulder armor are six homing missiles, and each missile rack on the unit’s legs contain twelve dumb-fire missiles each. The XXXG-01H Gundam Heavyarms uses a Beam Gatling Gun mounted to the left forearm as its primary weapon. Use the included adapter to store the Beam Gatling on the backpack when not in use. On the right forearm is an articulated Army Knife, which unfolds for close-quarters engagements (these weren’t too uncommon once the Heavyarms depleted its ammo).
