The PFF-X7 Core Gundam is a small and compact Mobile Suit modeled after the RX-78-2 Gundam, this particular version wearing the distinctive G-3 Color scheme. This Mobile Suit uses the PLANETS System, which allows it to dock with a series of unique equipment packs. The Veetwo Unit, named after the planet Venus, features an array of heavy weapons and an updated sensor package for engaging targets at significant ranges. The PFF-X7/V2 Veetwo Gundam also boasts incredible maneuverability, capable of hovering for an extended period in-atmosphere.

Included alongside the HG Core Gundam G-3 Color & Veetwo Unit for accessories:

  • Core Spray Gun
  • Beam Saber x2
  • Beam Saber Blade (Long) x2
  • PLANET System Core

Articulation
 –

The HG Core Gundam G-3 Color & Veetwo Unit borrows most of its construction from the previously released HGBD:R #01 Earthree Gundam, as both Gunpla Battlers utilize the PFF-X7 Core Gundam as the base of their designs. The Core Gundam features double-jointed elbows and swiveling thighs, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. With the Veetwo Armor equipped, the HG Core Gundam G-3 Color & Veetwo Unit will feature an additional articulation point in its legs for even greater posability. Builders can use the PLANET System Core to display the Veetwo armor and the Core Gundam separately. This model includes a small sheet of color-correcting stickers to help builders recreate the Mobile Suit’s on-screen appearance right out of the box!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The HG Core Gundam G-3 Color & Veetwo Unit includes the standard Core Spray Gun as its primary weapon. This model also includes a pair of Beam Sabers attached to its backpack for close-quarters engagements. Bandai provided beam saber effects of varying lengths to replicate this equipment’s activation. The Veetwo Armor features a set of Hand Missile Pods built into its forearms. Builders will need to purchase the HGBD:R #02 Veetwo Weapons Support Weapon to complete this Mobile Suit’s loadout

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGBD:R #06 Core Gundam G-3 Color & Veetwo Unit with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
