The PFF-X7II/U7 Uraven Gundam is one of the various configurations of the PFF-X7II Core Gundam II designed and constructed by Hiroto Kuga for his personal use in Gunpla Battles. The PFF-X7II Core Gundam II is an upgraded version of the original PFF-X7 Core Gundam developed to enhance its predecessor’s power output and structural integrity. The PFF-X7II Core Gundam II also features a transformable frame that enables the transition into a flight form called the Core Flyer. The Mobile Suit also retains access to the PLANETS System, which allows it to dock with a series of unique equipment packs. The Uraven Unit, named after the planet Uranus, features a series of advanced scanners and high-precision weapons for long-range sniping attacks.

Included alongside the HG Uraven Gundam for accessories:

  • Core Spray Gun
  • Beam Saber x2
  • Beam Saber Blade (Long) x2
  • PLANET System Core
  • Core Defenser
  • Parts for Beam Shoot Rifle U7
  • Sensor Bit x3

Articulation
 –

The HG Uraven Gundam borrows several aspects of its construction from the previously released HGBD:R #01 Earthree Gundam FF-X7II Core Gundam II and the PFF-X7 Core Gundam utilize many of the same parts in their respective builds. The Core Gundam II features double-jointed elbows and swiveling thighs, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. With the Uraven Armor equipped, the HG Uraven Gundam will feature an additional articulation point in its legs for even greater posability. Builders can use the PLANET System Core to display the Uraven Armor and the Core Gundam separately. This model includes a small sheet of color-correcting stickers to help builders recreate the Mobile Suit’s on-screen appearance right out of the box!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The HG Uraven Gundam includes the Beam Shoot Rifle U7 as its primary weapon. This weapon is a modification of the Core Gundam’s Beam Spray Gun with significantly increased power output and range. This model also includes a pair of Beam Sabers attached to its backpack for close-quarters engagements. Bandai provided beam saber effects of varying lengths to replicate this equipment’s activation. The sensor bits on the HG Uraven Gundam’s shoulder and leg armor double as Sensor Bits, providing the Mobile Suit with valuable reconnaissance information.

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGBD:R #23 Uraven Gundam with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
