The GAT-X303K Gundam Aegis Knight is a custom Gunpla Battler designed and constructed by Kazami Tarimachi to replace his previous Mobile Suit, ZGMF-X19AK Gundam Justice Knight. Like its predecessor, the GAT-X303K Gundam Aegis Knight benefits from a wide range of defensive capabilities to protect his fellow BUILD DIVERS. The GAT-X303K Gundam Aegis Knight features improved components that amplify its defensive abilities and a transformable frame based on the GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam. With this frame, the GAT-X303K Gundam Aegis Knight can transform into a High-Mobility Cruising Mode and an Assault Combat Mode. While in the Assault Combat Mode, the GAT-X303K Gundam Aegis Knight can defeat enemy Mobile Suits in a single blast!

Articulation –

The HG Gundam Aegis Knight borrows most of its construction from the previously released HGBD:R #04 Gundam Justice Knight, showcasing the in-universe lineage that connects these two Mobile Suits. This model features double-jointed limbs and swiveling thighs, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. The HG Gundam Aegis Knight is also fully transformable, providing multiple distinct configurations with some disassembly. The HG Gundam Aegis Knight also features a built-in 3mm attachment point where builders can connect the included display base. This model utilizes a thorough sheet of color-correcting stickers to help recreate the Mobile Suit’s on-screen appearance right out of the box!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The KT-E05R Raitei Shot Lancer Kai is an upgraded version of the Justice Knight’s Shot Lancer. This armament functions as a Beam Rifle or a melee weapon depending on the configuration. The HG Gundam Aegis Knight’s AS-1215 Aegis Shield features a 2-point connection for a secure hold when posing. This equipment also contains the hilt for the KT-R01B Laevatein Beam Rapier when not equipped. The Aegis Shield also serves as the base of the KT-HBS06GW Keraunos Hyper Beam Sword, the HG Gundam Aegis Knight’s most destructive weapon. This model also includes several parts used to create the RE: Rising Gundam by combining it with the rest of Team BUILD DIVERS! The remaining pieces of this Mobile Suit can function as a Core Fighter while in the RE: Rising configuration.

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGBD:R #33 Gundam Aegis Knight with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking Decals. Top Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
