HGBF #013 PPGN-001 Gundam Exia Dark Matter

$23.99

The PPGN-001 Gundam Exia Dark Matter is a modified version of the PPGN-001 Gundam Amazing Exia created by Plavsky Particle System Engineering for the final round of the 7th World Tournament. Like its predecessor, the PPGN-001 Gundam Exia Dark Matter features an assortment of close-range weaponry and utilizes a recolored version of the Trans-Am Booster, now called the Dark Matter Booster. The PPGN-001 Gundam Exia Dark Matter can also operate in Trans-Am Mode for a short time. During the final battle of the 7th World Tournament, the PPGN-001 Gundam Exia Dark Matter fought against Sei and Reiji’s GAT-X105B/ST Star Build Strike Gundam while under the influence of the Embody System, using its unique abilities in an attempt to disable its target piece-by-piece.

Included alongside the HG Gundam Exia Dark Matter for accessories:

  • Dark Matter Rifle
  • Brinicle Blade
  • Prominence Blade

Articulation
 –

The HG Gundam Exia Dark Matter borrows several components from the previously released HG00 #44 GN-001REII Gundam Exia Repair II, the same model kit likely used by the PPSE to construct this Build Fighter. This model features double-jointed knees, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. Bandai provided a small sheet of color-correcting stickers to help builders recreate the HG Gundam Exia Dark Matter’s on-screen appearance right out of the box! Builders can remove the HG Gundam Exia Dark Matter’s Dark Matter Booster and transform it for individual display atop their selected Action Base.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The HG Gundam Exia Dark Matter’s Dark Matter Rifle replaces the previous version’s Amazing GN Sword, now featuring a standard Beam Emitter instead of an articulated blade. The HG Gundam Exia Dark Matter also sorties with two bespoke melee weapons attached to its waist. The Brinicle Blade uses low-energy GN particles to freeze opponents or incoming beam projectiles! The Prominence Blade has the opposite effect, featuring a superheated blade. The HG Gundam Exia Dark Matter can use these two weapons for special combination attacks: freezing targets and then rapidly reheating the frozen components, making the materials much more brittle and prone to breaking during battle.

This kit includes:

11 Runners total (C, E, F, G, H, I1, J1, J2, SB9, PC7, PC123)
Total Piece Count – 181 with 11 Unused Parts
Foil Stickers

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGBF #13 Gundam Exia Dark Matter with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
