HGBF #016 PPGN-001 Gundam Amazing Exia

$23.99

The PPGN-001 Gundam Amazing Exia is a custom Gunpla Battler originally designed by Plavsky Particle System Engineering and modified by Allan Adams for use during the 7th World Tournament. Piloted by Meijin Kawaguchi III, the PPGN-001 Gundam Amazing Exia first appeared in the semi-finals in an incomplete form, equipped with just the Amazing GN Sword and Amazing GN Shield for handheld armaments. The Build Fighter would reappear in its completed state during the final match, featuring the newly developed Amazing GN Blade and the Trans-Am Booster support unit. The Plavsky Particle System Engineering team would later modify the PPGN-001 Gundam Amazing Exia into the PPGN-001 Gundam Exia Dark Matter to defeat the GAT-X105B/ST Star Build Strike Gundam.

Included alongside the HG Gundam Amazing Exia for accessories:

  • Amazing GN Sword
  • Amazing GN Blade
  • Amazing GN Shield
  • Beam Saber Effect

The HG Gundam Amazing Exia borrows most of its construction from the previously released HGBF #13 Gundam Exia Dark Matter, essentially identical aside from the traditional tricolor color scheme. This model features double-jointed knees, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. Bandai provided a small sheet of color-correcting stickers to help builders recreate the HG Gundam Amazing Exia’s on-screen appearance right out of the box! Builders can remove the HG Gundam Amazing Exia’s Trans-Am Booster and transform it for individual display atop their selected Action Base.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

Like its in-universe counterpart, the HG Gundam Amazing Exia features an assortment of weaponry designed for close-range engagements. The Amazing GN Sword is a customized version of the Gundam Exia’s GN Sword and retains the original’s ability to transform into a rifle for ranged combat. Builders can detach the Trans-Am GN Blades from the Trans-Am Booster and use the folding handles to connect them to the HG Gundam Amazing Exia’s manipulators. This model also includes the Amazing GN Blade, which builders can attach to its leg armor for storage.

HGBF #16 Gundam Amazing Exia

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGBF #16 Gundam Amazing Exia with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
