The GN-9999 Transient Gundam is a custom Build Fighter created by Wilfrid Kijima for use during the 14th U-19 National Gunpla Tournament. This Mobile Suit draws heavy influence from the units operated by Celestial Being in the Mobile Suit Gundam 00 series, most notably the GN-001 Gundam Exia. Like its in-universe inspiration, the GN-9999 Transient Gundam focuses primarily on close-quarters combat. The GN-9999 Transient Gundam’s sole armament, a pair of GN Partizans, functions as powerful melee weapons and can deflect incoming projectiles. This weapon also provides the means of ranged offense, capable of firing beam projectiles from its tip. The Beam Partizans can also separate in half and function as remote weapons called Lance Bits.

Articulation –

The HG Transient Gundam features an entirely new construction supported by an array of polycaps, showcasing just how unique Kijima’s Gundam 00-inspired design is! This model features double-jointed limbs and swiveling thighs, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. The HG Transient Gundam features a built-in 3mm attachment point on its waist where builders can connect the included display base. Bandai provided a small sheet of color-correcting stickers to help builders recreate the HG Transient Gundam’s on-screen appearance right out of the box!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The HG Transient Gundam includes a pair of dual-edged GN Partizans as its primary weapons. These weapons can separate into two individual Lance Bits for remote use. The larger of the two Lance Bits features deployable mandibles for long-ranged attacks!

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGBF #34 Transient Gundam with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking Decals. Top Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
