HGCE #192 ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam

$23.99

The ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam is a prototype Mobile Suit constructed by ZAFT by reverse-engineering the four Stolen Gundams from the first half of Mobile Suit Gundam Seed. ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam and its sister suit, the ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam, would soon fall into the hands of the Clyne Foundation and quickly become the backbone of their military forces. The ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam enjoys atmospheric flight without utilizing additional Striker Packs. On top of that, the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam features a High Mobility Aerial Tactics Mode, which reconfigures its wings for enhanced agility in the atmosphere and space. The ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam bundles together an insane amount of firepower with its impressive array of fixed armaments. When activated simultaneously, the weapons create a Full Burst Mode attack to destroy multiple targets or decimate a single target with concentrated fire. The ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam is one of the most iconic Mobile Suits from the Cosmic Era Universe, so be sure to check out this excellent HGCE rendition!

Here’s what Bandai included alongside the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam for accessories:

  • MA-M20 “Lupus” Beam Rifle
  • Laminated Anti-Beam Shield
  • MA-M01 “Lacerta” Beam Saber x2

Articulation
 –

The HGCE ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam is a revived version of the HG R15 Freedom Gundam, which uses molds from the first HG Freedom released way back in 2003! Bandai redesigned the HGCE ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam from the ground up, providing this decades-old design with tons more articulation, better color separation, and all the other modern luxuries we’ve come to expect from Bandai’s High Grade lineup in recent years. The ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam features double-jointed knees and elbows, providing the model with an impressive range of motion. The chest will articulate forward and rotate a small degree to give the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam a dynamic look in any pose!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

Bandai molded the MA-M20 “Lupus” Beam Rifle’s white armor plating as a separate piece! This added color separation is a vast improvement over the HG R15 Freedom Gundam‘s version, which is all gray. You will still need to apply the blue pinstriping yourself, but thankfully, Bandai provided a set of foil stickers to recreate this effect without paint! Attached to the side skirts are a pair of MMI-M15 “Xiphias” Railguns, which unfold in two places to reveal the weapons deployed form. Aside from the head-mounted CIWS, this is the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam’s only ballistic weapon. Hiding inside the Mobile Suit’s wings are two Plasma Beam Cannons, which unfurl and rest over the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam’s shoulders while deployed. These are the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam’s most devastating weapons, easily strong enough to destroy a Mobile Suit with a single blast!

12 Runners total (A1, A2, B1, B2, C, D, E1, E2, F1, F2, SB13)
Total Piece Count – 177 Pieces
Foil Stickers

HGCE #192 ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGCE #192 ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
