HGCE #198 ZGMF-X56S/α Force Impulse Gundam

The Force Impulse is a highly adaptable and maneuverable Mobile Suit constructed for ZAFT ace pilots after realizing just how much a single, high-powered Mobile Suit could change the tides of battle. The ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam is essentially the ZAFT version of the Strike Gundam. Both suits utilize various interchangeable equipment packs to fill a slew of roles on the battlefield. The ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam commonly sorties with the α Force Silhouette to create the Force Impulse Gundam! α Force Silhouette functions almost identically to the original Aile Striker pack and allows the Force Impulse Gundam to fly in-atmosphere at impressive speeds. For easy deployment to the battlefield, the Force Impulse Gundam uses the Core Splendor System, which separates the Gundam into three parts, the Chest Flyer, Leg Flyer, and a Core Splendor.

Articulation –

The HGCE Force Impulse Gundam is a prime example of what a modern High Grade model kit should be, thanks to its highly articulate polycap construction! The Force Impulse Gundam features double-jointed limbs, swiveling thighs, and a uniquely articulated torso to provide a super dynamic look. This model is the perfect candidate for an Action Base, which Bandai made easy with an included 3mm peg hole on the underside of the Force Impulse Gundam. Thanks to some clever engineering by Bandai, recreating the Core Separation gimmick is a breeze! The first step is to separate the top and bottom halves of the Gundam at the waist. After that, just follow the brief instructions to achieve the proper pose for the Chest and Leg Flyers.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The Force Impulse Gundam’s Beam Rifle shares a strong likeness with the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam’s Beam Rifle, only without the added armor plating. When the Force Impulse unequips its Beam Rifle, it clips into the back skirt armor for easy access. The Force Silhouette holds two Beam Sabers for close-quarters engagements. There are two transparent pink Beam Effects to recreate the deployed weapon for some radical action poses! Use Silhouette Flyer to show off the Force Silhouette while the Mobile Suit is separated!
