HGFC #127 GF13-017NJ Shining Gundam

The GF13-017NJ Shining Gundam is a close-quarters combat Mobile Fighter from Mobile Fighter G Gundam, which takes place in a new Gundam Universe centered around a global fighting tournament instead of the typical conflict between Earth and the Space Colonies. Each competing nation duels with unique Mobile Fighters, fighting each other in one-on-one battles until a single Gundam remains standing. The victorious nation is granted rule over all of Earth’s space colonies for four years until the next Gundam Fight begins. Neo Japan sent the GF13-017NJ Shining Gundam to Earth alongside the JMF13-36R Rising Gundam to compete in the opening rounds of the 13th Gundam Fight, operated by “King of Hearts” Domon Kasshu.

Articulation –

The HG Shining Gundam features an entirely new construction supported by an array of polycaps and newly-molded parts to provide the model with its distinctive silhouette. The model features double-jointed limbs and swiveling thighs, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. The HG Shining Gundam offers a brief transformation into Super Mode, recreated using armor expansion gimmicks in the shoulders and legs and an optional head featuring the Shining Gundam’s iconic open-cowl look. Builders can use the included gold foil stickers to recreate the proper coloration of the Mobile Suit’s shoulder armor.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The HG Shining Gundam includes two Beam Sabers attached to its left skirt armor for handheld use. Bandai provided two different length beam effects to replicate the equipment’s on-screen appearance. Bandai also included two Shining Finger Effect Manipulators and a single, massive version to recreate an iconic moment between the HGFC #128 Master Gundam and the Shining Gundam. Bandai also provided an effect part for the Shining Finger Sword molded in the same transparent green as the other Shining Finger effects.
