HGUC #042 ORX-005 Gaplant

The ORX-005 Gaplant is an experimental transformable Mobile Armor developed by the Titans during the Gryps War. This Mobile Armor benefits from extreme maneuverability in space and the atmosphere, thanks to its streamlined shape and built-in vernier thrusters. The Gaplant features a pair of articulated shield boosters attached to its arms, which enables the Mobile Armor to make quick and unexpected changes to its flight path. The Shield Boosters also contain the ORX-005 Gaplant’s primary weapons, a set of Beam Rifles powered by the Mobile Armor’s power supply. One of the Gaplant’s limiting factors is its excessive fuel consumption, which Neo Zeon negated by developing a massive external booster to transport the Gaplant long distances without compromising the Mobile Suit’s operating time.

Articulation –

The HG Gaplant features an entirely new construction supported by an array of polycaps. The model features a unique range of motion to achieve its transformation into Mobile Armor Mode. The Gaplant’s Shield Boosters come attached to articulated assemblies built into the model’s forearms, providing builders with a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. The instructions will have builders assemble the HG Gaplant in Mobile Suit Mode, with supplemental instructions to achieve the transformation provided in full color.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The Gaplant’s Shield Boosters feature unfolding handles, giving the machine access to its Beam Rifle while in Mobile Suit Mode. Builders can display the Gaplant in Mobile Armor Mode while strapped to the massive Custom Booster included with the model or attach it to any of the HGUC Advance of Zeta kits in their collection! Bandai provided a pair of activated Beam Sabers for the Gaplant to defend itself at close range. These weapons come molded in all blue plastic, leaving builders to paint the beam blade to their liking.
