HGUC #045 MS-14JG Gelgoog Jager

(1 customer review)

$15.99

The MS-14JG Gelgoog Jager is the successor of the already high performing MS-14A Gelgoog, developed by Zeon at the end of the One Year War. The MS-14JG Gelgoog Jager, or Gelgoog-J, adds tons of thrusters and two external propellant tanks to increase the operation time. The standard colors for the MS-14JG Gelgoog Jager also changed to shades of red, which would make Char Aznable particularly proud!

Included with the MS-14JG Gelgoog Jager, you’ll find:

  • Beam Machine Gun
  • Propellant Tank x2

Articulation
 –

Building the MS-14JG Gelgoog Jager does not require many pieces or involve any complicated techniques. The Gelgoog-J should be an enjoyable build, even if it’s your first time! Bandai even included articulation points for the leg thrusters, allowing builders to pose the MS-14JG Gelgoog Jager dynamically in a flying pose. A majority of the thrusters come molded separately from the armor panels in gray plastic, giving bulders a much more color-accurate example right off the runners!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The Beam Machine Gun used by the MS-14JG Gelgoog Jager fires a pulse of beams much more destructive and accurate than a standard Beam Rifle. Each of the Propellant tanks easily separates from the backpack for ejecting once depleted. The MS-14JG Gelgoog Jager uses two Beam Spot Guns as close-range weapons, which are located within the unit’s forearms. It is known that these could double as Beam Blades, but there are no effect parts included to recreate this effect (the connection should still support a standard HG Beam Saber Blade).

This kit includes:

5 Runners total (A, B1, B2, C, PC123+)
Total Piece Count – 136 with 6 Unused Parts
Marking Stickers
Materials – PS, PE

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGUC #45 MS-14JG Gelgoog Jager with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.

It’s a cool kit and an easy build. The age shows a bit in a few areas but doesn’t stop it from being a pretty good buy.
