The RMS-119 EWAC Zack is a mass production Mobile Suit developed by the Earth Federation for reconnaissance. Based on the RMS-106 Hi-Zack, the RMS-119 EWAC Zack borrows many technologies previously fielded by the Principality of Zeon, including their distinctive monoeye sensor and exposed piping. The heavy utilization of Hi-Zack parts in the RMS-119 EWAC Zack’s design made it much easier to mass produce and decreased maintenance costs. Several RMS-119 EWAC Zack units would fall into enemy hands, with at least one captured by the African Liberation Front. This model builds into the RMS-119 EWAC Zack fielded by the African Liberation Front’s Blue Team, featuring their distinctive color scheme.

Articulation –

The HG EWAC Zack borrows most of its construction from the previously released HGUC #12 RMS-106 Hi-Zack, showcasing the in-universe lineage that connects these two Mobile Suits. This model features double-jointed knees, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. The HG EWAC Zack did not feature a built-in Action Base adapter in its original release, leaving builders to utilize the universal u-shaped brackets included with their preferred display base. Later revisions would feature a connection for an Action Base 2. The HG EWAC Zack features a small sheet of color-correcting stickers to help builders recreate the Mobile Suit’s on-screen appearance right out of the box!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The HG EWAC Zack includes the 120mm Zaku Machine Gun Kai as its primary armament. This weapon features an articulated forward grip for added stability when firing. The 120mm Zaku Machine Gun Kai also features a removable magazine for awesome reloading poses! The HG EWAC Zack also includes a small shield that builders can connect to either forearm for added defense. Builders can rotate the circular section of the HG EWAC Zack’s Passive Radar Radome to recreate the equipment’s activation.

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGUC #096 RMS-119 EWAC Zack with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking Decals. Top Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.

Really cool and unique design from Zeta Gundam. Awesome head and backpack designs. A good kit if you level your expectations. Uses 90% of the same mold as the HGUC #12 Hizack, which came out in 2000- so don’t expect 2009 level engineering. Requires a lot of paint as well- the machine gun is molded in light blue. I won’t bother listing the seams, since they are on almost every part- front of the shins and forearms are the worst offenders but at least it doesnt have a seam splitting the head like the Hizack. Like a lot of these early HGUC molds, some of the plastic doesnt always meet up nicely when the seams are sealed so you will have to bust out the putty for this one. Be prepared to put in some love and you’ve got a really unique MS.

Overall great model with great designs. My only complaint was that some of the stickers were quite annoying to place accurately.
