HGUC #141 RAS-96 Anksha

During the events of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, the Earth Federation employed the RAS-96 Anksha, a Mass Production Transformable Mobile Suit, to defend their massive atmospheric transport ships such as the Garuda. The RAS-96 Anksha is the successor to the NRX-044 Asshimar developed by the Titans, of which it shares its iconic circular Mobile Armor Mode. To reduce production costs, the RAS-96 Anksha adopted many components from the readily available RGM-89 Jegan. These changes give the RAS-96 Anksha an appearance closer to standard Federation Mobile Suits than its predecessor.

Articulation –

Bandai started from the ground up when designing this kit, giving it a superb level of posability; without compromising the model’s proportions. The build is unique enough for even the most experienced Gunpla builder to get excited! There are tons of moving parts to convert to Mobile Armor mode, but a partsformation is required to achieve the effect. Bandai outlined the steps for the partsformation on the color pages in the manual to make it very clear how to transform the RAS-96 Anksha successfully.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The Shield Binders attach to the forearms of the RAS-96 Anksha when in MS form. The Binders reattach to the exterior of the Mobile Armor once transformed. The Beam Rifles contained in the Shield Binders are the primary weapon of the RAS-96 Anksha in both forms. The RAS-96 Anksha is also equipped with two Beam Sabers for close-quarters engagements. The Mobile Armor Mode can be used as a sub-flight system like the Type 89 Base Jabber. Bandai has included two optional handles and a 3mm peg adapter for attaching another HGUC model to the top of the RAS-96 Anksha.
