HGUC #15 AMX-107 Bawoo

Original price was: $15.99.Current price is: $13.59.

The AMX-107 Bawoo is a transformable Mobile Suit developed by Neo Zeon after the Grypps Conflict. Created as the answer to the AEUG’s Project Zeta, the AMX-107 Bawoo could separate into two sub-units, the Bawoo Attacker and the Bawoo Nutter. The AMX-107 Bawoo’s pilot would control the Bawoo Nutter remotely while remaining onboard the more-powerful Bawoo Attacker. The Mobile Suit utilized an array of onboard and handheld weapons to assault targets during high-speed maneuvers. Glemy Toto would pilot this initial version of the AMX-107 Bawoo, providing critical data to refine the Mobile Suit before entering mass production. The mass-production version of the AMX-107 Bawoo would feature a more traditional green color scheme and benefit from several minor improvements.

Included alongside the HG Bawoo for accessories:

  • Beam Rifle
  • Beam Saber (Unpainted)
  • Shield

Articulation
 –

The HG Bawoo features an entirely new construction supported by an array of polycaps, as this was the first rendition of this Mobile Suit in the HGUC line. The HG Bawoo also holds the title of the first transformable entry in the HGUC line, replicating the Mobile Suit’s in-universe ability with a fun gimmick. This model features double-jointed knees and swiveling thighs, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. The HG Bawoo also includes small sheets of color-correcting and marking stickers to help builders recreate the Mobile Suit’s on-screen appearance right out of the box!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The HG Bawoo includes a standard Beam Rifle as its primary handheld armament. This weapon also attaches to the Bawoo Attacker when transformed. The HG Bawoo’s Shield connects to the Mobile Suit’s forearm with multiple articulation points, providing some added posability. This equipment also helps to form the Bawoo Attacker configuration. The HG Bawoo includes a deployed Beam Saber molded in yellow plastic, leaving builders to paint just the handle for a shelf-worthy display!

Description

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGUC #15 AMX-107 Bawoo with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
