The Victory Gundam is the titular Mobile Suit from Mobile Suit Victory Gundam, which takes place in UC 0153, thirty years after the events of Mobile Suit Gundam F91. These powerful Mobile Suits are the main fighting force of the League Militaire, a resistance organization fighting to protect the Earth-sphere from the invading Zanscare Empire. The Victory Gundam utilizes a variation of the original RX-78-2 Gundam’s Core Block System, which seats the pilot in a transformable Core Fighter sandwiched between the Mobile Suits’ upper and lower body. This system made the Victory Gundams much easier to maintain and repair, ideal for an organization lacking resources and financial backing like the League Militaire. The Victory Gundam utilizes the Minovsky Flight System, the latest development of the almost-century-old Minovsky Craft System initially created by the Principality of Zeon. The Minovsky Flight System gave the Victory Gundam units the ability to hover in the atmosphere without compromising the Mobile Suit’s thrusters, creating a highly maneuverable and efficient fighting machine.

Articulation –

The HG Victory Gundam builds into the standard variation of the Mobile Suit and does not include parts to create the Commander Use version. The HG Victory Gundam is a fully modernized High Grade, featuring double jointed knees and elbows, rotating thighs, and a segmented torso for a dynamic look in any pose! The HG Victory Gundam cannot separate into a top and bottom fighter like in the anime, but Bandai did include a non-transforming Core Fighter for individual display. There is tons of fun packed into the Victory Gundam’s tiny silhouette, showcasing the full extent of Late-UC Mobile Suit development while maintaining the proportions of Hajime Katoki’s original design work.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The Victory Gundam includes the latest rendition of the iconic Gundam Loadout of Beam Rifle, Beam Sabers, and Shield. The most significant update is the replacement of a physical shield with a pair of Beam Shield Generators connected to the forearms, a technology popularized in the UC 0120s thanks to the shrinking size and power output of newly developed Mobile Suits. The HG Victory Gundam includes a single Beam Shield to attach to either forearm. The HG Victory Gundam is on the exceedingly short list of models to contain a dedicated Beam Saber slashing effect! Use this part in place of the standard blade to create some impressive action poses.
