HGUC #182 MSZ-006A1 Zeta Plus Unicorn Version

The MSZ-006A1 Zeta Plus is the Mass-Production version of the MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam originally built by Anaheim Electronics for Karaba’s Air Force. Since Karaba only operated on Earth, the MSZ-006A1 Zeta Plus removes any aspects of the Zeta Gundam intended for space use. This streamlining helps the MSZ-006A1 Zeta Plus outperform the Zeta Gundam in atmospheric combat scenarios. These units would remain in Federation service well into the 0090’s, as this HGUC rendition builds into the MSZ-006A1 Zeta Plus as seen in the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn animated series.

Articulation –

Like many other HGUC transformable Mobile Suit kits, the MSZ-006A1 Zeta Plus uses a partsformation gimmick to accomplish its transformation into Waverider Mode. This gimmick requires removing the limbs and reattaching them to the Waverider “torso” for the completed look. The legs are much more articulate than traditional HG legs because of the transforming aspects. The MSZ-006A1 Zeta Plus’s wings articulate at their attachment point and again at the lower section for supreme flying poses!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The MSZ-006A1 Zeta Plus’s Beam Rifle features a folding handle for a cleaner look when equipped to the bottom of the Waverider. The Beam Rifle uses the same tab to connect to the wing binder for storage. The MSZ-006A1 Zeta Plus’s Shield serves as the nose of the Waverider Mode and attaches to the Mobile Suits forearm. The MSZ-006A1 Zeta Plus also features a pair of Beam Sabers with transparent blue blades to equip when attacking at close range. Unlike the Prototype Zeta, the MSZ-006A1 Zeta Plus features a pair of Beam Cannons mounted to the side skirt armor of the Mobile Suit. These weapons should articulate side to side for aiming in either Mobile Suit or Waverider Mode.
