The GM Ground Type is the predecessor of the famous RGM-79 GM and is based on the RX-79[G] Gundam Ground Type from Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team OVA series. This rendition comes molded in the awesome orange and cream Standard Deployment Colors.

The HGUC GM Ground Type comes with some sweet accessories, including:

Articulation –

The GM Ground Type model kit features a modern build process that should feel familiar, even to inexperienced Gunpla Builders. The previous version of this kit was released way back in 1996, which gave Bandai plenty of opportunities to improve its design. The GM Ground Type has a 3mm peg hole built into its underside for the easy usage of an Action Base.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The GM Ground Type has an awesome loadout of weapons included on the runners, the most unique being the over-the-shoulder Net Cannon. The shield features the same unfolding gimmick as the HGUC Gundam Ground Type. The standard Rocket Launcher is stored on the back skirting when not in use. Each Beam Saber stores inside the lower leg armor of the GM Ground Type.

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGUC #202 RGM-79 [G] GM Ground Type with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking Decals. Top Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
