The RX-79BD-3 Blue Destiny Unit 3 Exam is the final Mobile Suit used by the protagonist of the Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: The Blue Destiny videogame. It is almost identical to the stolen Unit 2, featuring a different color scheme and minor changes. Bandai released this “EXAM” version of the RX-79BD-3 Blue Destiny Unit 3 11 years after the original release of the HGUC #82 RX-79BD-3 Blue Destiny Unit 3. This update adds a ton of modern flair to the RX-79BD-3 Blue Destiny Unit 3 Exam that any fan can appreciate.

Articulation –

The RX-79BD-3 Blue Destiny Unit 3 Exam model kit shares many similarities with the HGUC #210 RX-79[G] Gundam Ground Type, which Bandai released shortly after. Both of these kits build up wonderfully thanks to the many modern engineering techniques used. The instructions are clear and easy enough to follow for builders of any age or skill level. This model has lots of intelligent parts separation, so the color-correcting stickers are minimal. Bandai added optional Red sensor stickers to recreate the RX-79BD-3 Blue Destiny Unit 3 with the EXAM system activated.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The RX-79BD-3 Blue Destiny Unit 3 Exam comes with the same multi-colored Beam Rifle and Machine Gun as the Gundam Ground Type. Unit 3 gets an updated Shield and a new Twin Beam Cannon, similar to the one used by the RGM-79DO GM Dominance from the Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: The Blue Destiny manga.
