HGUC #214 RX-160 Byarlant

The RX-160 Byarlant is a unique and experimental Mobile Suit designed by the Titans. The Titan’s concept was to develop a Mobile Suit capable of atmospheric flight without using a sub-flight system or a transformation. The Titans were victorious in that endeavor but gave little attention to the RX-160 Byarlant’s offensive capabilities. The lack of onboard firepower and inability to operate mass-produced weaponry kept the RX-160 Byarlant from seeing mass production. This HGUC rendition of the RX-160 Byarlant borrows most of its components from the previously released HGUC #147 RX-160S Byarlant Custom.

Articulation –

The HGUC RX-160 Byarlant comes with tons of spare parts because of its re-used runners. Roughly 25% of the pieces in the box aren’t needed, which is perfect for builders interested in kitbashing! The rest of the parts will add together and make one seriously unique Mobile Suit. Building the HGUC RX-160 Byarlant will be fun and refreshing for anyone with a few High Grades under their belt. The RX-160 Byarlant hides tons of excellent articulation points within its strange silhouette, including double-jointed knees and swiveling thighs. The arms attach to the shoulders via a ball joint, and the binders do too!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The RX-160 Byarlant’s primary weapon is a pair of Mega Particle Cannons contained within the machine’s manipulators. Some gray paint is needed to make these weapons fully color accurate. For close-quarters engagements, the RX-160 Byarlant equips a pair of Beam Sabers stored in its arms. There is a unique set of manipulators included for holding the Beam Sabers properly. Bandai made sure to throw in two transparent yellow Beam Effects for deploying the weapons.
