The RX-104FF Penelope is one of the state-of-the-art Mobile Suits used in the new Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway movie. Unlike its counterpart, the Ξ Xi Gundam, the Penelope combines the FF (Fixed Flight) Armor Unit and the RX-104 Odysseus Gundam to reach its maximum potential.

To display your RX-104FF Penelope as you please, Bandai provided all of this along with the two core units:

Articulation –

Because of the additional weight and large panels on the FF Armor Unit, The Odysseus Gundam is super sturdy by design. No polycaps mean your Gundam will hold its pose no problem for years to come. Equipping the FF Armor Unit to form the RX-104FF Penelope requires some partsforming, but the end product is well worth it. There are numerous panels to be posed all over the RX-104FF Penelope so you can display the model in either Flying or Standby mode.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

All of the included weapons and accessories display excellently with both the RX-104FF Penelope and the Odysseus Gundam by itself. Take advantage of the included display base and show off the impressive size of this kit while it flies through the air just like in the movie. To give a more color-accurate final product, Bandai included some foil stickers to add some detail.

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGUC #229 RX-104FF Penelope with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking Decals. Top Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
