The Me02R-F01 Messer Type-F01 is one of the new Mobile Suit designs from the Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway movie. Anaheim Electronics used technology from the AMS-119 Geara Doga and the MSN-04 Sazabi to develop the Me02R-F01 Messer Type-F01 for the Anti-Federation organization, Mafty. It is unknown how many Me02R-F01 Messer Type-F01 units Mafty possesses, but multiple units saw use during the attack on the Adelaide Conference. This HGUC Me02R-F01 Messer Type-F01 builds into an excellent representation of the Mobile Suit’s appearance in the movie.

Articulation –

The overwhelming size and countless articulation points put the HGUC Me02R-F01 Messer Type-F01 into a class of its own! Experienced builders will recognize engineering aspects Bandai has borrowed from other recent kits. This brilliant design makes the Me02R-F01 Messer Type-F01 one of the best posing High Grade model kits to ever release, especially at its size!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The Long Beam Rifle is a custom design specifically for the Me02R-F01 Messer Type-F01. This weapon comes molded in gray plastic like the frame parts. Painting the rifle will be necessary to create a fully color-accurate model. The Shield will hold the two Beam Saber Hilts when not in use. Hide one under the Spiked shoulder for quick access during combat. The Shield attaches to either forearm of the Me02R-F01 Messer Type-F01 facing sideways or backward thanks to the multi-point adapter included.

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGUC #233 Me02R-F01 Messer Type-F01 with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking Decals. Top Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
