The NRX-044 Asshimar is the first Mobile Suit capable of flying within the Earth’s Atmosphere without using optional equipment or a sub-flight system. The NRX-044 Asshimar saw extensive use by the Earth Federation’s Titans forces during the events of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. This outrageous orange Mobile Suit changes into Mobile Armor form in half a second and features a Dom-style head and monoeye under its armored hood.

Articulation –

Like many transformable HGUC entries, the NRX-044 Asshimar features a unique build process that’ll excite builders of any experience level. To transform the NRX-044 Asshimar into Mobile Armor Mode: some components transform fully, while others need to be removed and reattached. You can make the most of the NRX-044 Asshimar by displaying it in the air using the included Display Base! This Display Base has two screws for a supreme level of sturdiness. Bandai has included an adapter for displaying the NRX-044 Asshimar on the stand while in Mobile Armor Mode.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The Beam Rifle included with the NRX-044 Asshimar is exclusively used by this Mobile Suit. The handle folds into the rifle for use in Mobile Armor Mode. The Beam Rifle can also attach to the back skirt armor when not in use. There are no Vulcan Cannons or other fixed weapons on the NRX-044 Asshimar. The Beam Rifle is the only weapon the NRX-044 Asshimar utilizes. Additional Components not in use stow away underneath the Display Base!

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGUC #54 NRX-044 Asshimar with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking Decals. Top Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
