$23.99

The PMX-001 Palace Athene is a prototype Mobile Suit developed and constructed by Paptimus Scirocco in the facilities onboard his Jupitris Transport Ship. Created after the PMX-000 Messala, the PMX-001 Palace Athene is the second of five handcrafted Mobile Suits designed by Scirocco for himself and his most trusted followers. Scirocco designed the PMX-001 Palace Athene to work alongside the PMX-002 Bolinoak Sammahn and the PMX-003 The-O, each making up for the other’s weaknesses. The PMX-001 Palace Athene utilizes the most firepower of these three Mobile Suits, using a combination of built-in Beam Cannons and massive projectiles to devastate entire fleets. While certainly not the most substantial Mobile Suit fielded by the Titans during the Grypps Conflict, the PMX-001 Palace Athene still struggled with close-quarters engagements due to its size.

Included alongside the HG Palace Athene for accessories:

  • Twin Beam Gun
  • Large Missile x8
  • Shield
  • Beam Saber x2

Articulation
 –

The HG Palace Athene features an entirely new construction, as this was the first rendition of this distinctive Mobile Suit design in the HGUC line! This model features double-jointed knees, providing this sizable High Grade entry with a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. The HG Palace Athene’s Movable Shields attach to the backpack with multiple points of articulation, aiding builders in creating convincing flying poses. This model also includes a thorough sheet of color-correcting stickers to help recreate the HG Palace Athene’s on-screen appearance right out of the box!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The HG Palace Athene includes the Twin Beam Gun as its primary armament, mounted to its right forearm for added security when firing. The HG Palace Athene can also equip 8 Large Missiles on the Movable Shields, each carrying a fleet-destroying payload. This model also includes two Beam Sabers stored inside the Mobile Suit’s Shield. Bandai provided two transparent yellow Beam Effects to recreate this equipment’s activation. Description

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGUC#60 PMX-001 Palace Athene with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
