(1 customer review)

$17.99

The MSA-005 Methuss is one of the first transformable Mobile Suits developed by Anaheim Electronics as a part of their Zeta Project. Anaheim would give this Mobile Suit to the AEUG, using the MSA-005 Methuss’ combat data to further the development of the MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam. The MSA-005 Methuss benefits from drastically improved maneuverability and speed when transformed, thanks to a series of massive thrusters built into the Mobile Suit’s frame. Anaheim Electronics gave the MSA-005 Methuss the unique ability to serve as an external power source, working in tandem with the Mega Bazooka Launcher for even more powerful attacks.

Included alongside the HG Methuss for accessories:

  • Beam Saber x2
  • Landing Gear x3
  • Adapter for Mega Bazooka Launcher

Articulation
 –

The HG Methuss shares no components with any previously released HGUC model, reflecting the Mobile Suit’s status as a ground-up design in-universe. This model features double-jointed limbs, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. The HG Methuss features a complete transformation into Mobile Armor Mode. Bandai provided a set of landing gear for displaying this model in Mobile Armor Mode right out of the box! There are also deployable thrusters hidden inside the HG Methuss’ calf armor. This model includes a small sheet of color-correcting stickers to help recreate the Mobile Suit’s on-screen appearance right out of the box!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The HG Methuss uses a pair of Beam Guns built into its forearms for primary weapons. Each Arm Beam Gun features an unfolding manipulator grip for added stability when firing. The HG Methuss also includes a pair of Beam Sabers stored inside its leg armor. Bandai provided two transparent beam effects for displaying this equipment in an active state. This model also includes several components that allow builders to connect the HG Methuss to the HGUC #48 Hyaku-Shiki + Mega Bazooka Launcher, released way back in 2004!

Description

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGUC #61 MSA-005 Methuss with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
