HGUC #66 RX-78 GP02A Gundam GP02 Physalis

$24.99

The only thing scarier than the threat of a nuclear attack might just be the threat of a nuclear attack by a Gundam! That’s exactly what the RX-78 GP02A Gundam GP02 Physalis was designed to do.

You may be asking yourself, What else does a nuclear warhead wielding Gundam need? The answer is listed below:

  • AE/ZIM.G-BAZ-0186-A Atomic Bazooka (separated into Lower and Upper components for storage)
  • NR-Sh-02-RX/S-00013 Shield
  • Beam Sabers x2
  • Display Base

Articulation

At the time of initial release, the RX-78 GP02A Gundam GP02 Physalis was one of the largest High-Grade model kits released by Bandai. The lackluster articulation is easily made up for by the vast amount of movable verniers on the backpack. This alongside the included display stand allows for some solid flying poses right out of the box! A base adapter for the HGUC #18 RX-78GP01Fb Gundam GP01Fb is also included to recreate their final duel.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

Bandai has even given the option to store the Atomic bazooka in two pieces just like in the anime. The Front part of the bazooka is stored in the Radiator Shield, while the firing mechanism and back half of the barrel are mounted to the backpack of the RX-78 GP02A Gundam GP02 Physalis. This will help keep the bazooka stable while posing.

This kit includes:

8 Runners total (A, B, C, D, E, F, BA1, PC126)

HGUC #66 RX-78 GP02A Gundam GP02 Physalis

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGUC #66 RX-78 GP02A Gundam GP02 Physalis with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
