HGUC #67 RGM-79 Powered GM

(2 customer reviews)

$15.99

The RGM-79 Powered GM was a test unit based on the RGM-79C GM Type C, now with additional armor panels and an updated backpack, similar to the one used by the RX-78 GP01 Gundam Zephyranthes. It was seen right at the beginning of the Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory animated series.

The loadout for the RGM-79 Powered GM includes:

  • 90mm Bullpup Machine Gun
  • Bazooka
  • Shield
  • Beam Saber

Articulation
 –

Don’t worry; the yellow vent sections on the chest and backpack come molded separately and all color accurate! The joint structures within the limbs are all double-jointed for more dynamic posing. The visor comes in a sweet transparent green, so no decal is necessary.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

Since the RGM-79 Powered GM only saw use as a test suit, the armaments are the same as the GM Type C. Attach the shield to either forearm using the included adapter. The handle on the bazooka articulates for more accurate posing. Bandai also added an open-palmed left manipulator to support the bazooka while being fired.

This kit includes:

7 Runners total (A, B1, B2, C, D, SB6, PC123+)
Total Piece Count – 131 with 10 Unused Parts
Foil Stickers
Materials – PS, PE, ABS

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGUC #67 RGM-79 Powered GM with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
