HGUC #68 MS-05B Zaku I Black Tri-Stars

$13.99

The HGUC MS-05B Zaku I The Black Tri-Star model kit contains enough parts to build one MS-05B Zaku I in the famous Black Tri-Star colors! The team of MS-05B Zaku I Black Tri-Stars fought during the Attack of Side 5. According to Mobile Suit Variations, the Zaku I’s were a dark blue color. The trio of Zaku’s would take on their iconic colors following the Battle of Loum. The MMS-05B Zaku I Black Tri-Stars is a color swap of the previously released HGUC #64 MS-05B Zaku I with additional markings to recreate the individual members of the Black Tri-Stars.

Here’s what Bandai included to recreate the MS-05B Zaku I Black Tri-Stars trio:

  • 105mm Machine Gun
  • Initial Type Bazooka
  • Sturm Faust
  • Heat Hawk
  • Knuckle Shield
  • Commander Type Fin

Articulation
 –

The MS-05B Zaku I Black Tri-Stars is one of the first High Grades constructed with double-jointed elbows, allowing the MS-05B Zaku I Black Tri-Stars to hold either of its weapons with both hands in a convincing manner. The MS-05B Zaku I Black Tri-Stars can use an optional support piece that attaches to the Zaku’s torso, supporting the Bazooka as it’s fired. The MS-05B Zaku I Black Tri-Stars can utilize any 3mm peg-based Display Stand.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

This kit features a unique loadout of weapons later developed into the iconic loadout of 120mm Zaku Machine Gun and 280mm Zaku Bazooka used by almost every Zeon Mobile Suit. The Knuckle Shield is a powerful close combat weapon also used by the MS-14F Gelgoog Marine. The Knuckle Shield also holds the Sturm Faust Launcher for easy access during combat. The Bazooka and Heat Hawk can both be stored on the Mobile Suit while not in use. You can recreate all three versions of the MS-05B Zaku I Black Tri-Stars, thanks to the added marking sheet provided by Bandai!

HGUC #68 MS-05B Zaku I The Black Tri-Star

Tips and Tricks –

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the HGUC #68 MS-05B Zaku I The Black Tri-Star with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. If you’re up to a challenge making panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before the application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
