MG Gundam RX-78GP01 Gundam Zephyranthes

$32.99

The RX-78GP01 Gundam Zephyranthes is the first product of the Earth Federation’s Gundam Development Project, which sought to outpace the Mobile Suits developed by Zeon at the time. The RX-78GP01 Gundam Zephyranthes drew obvious inspiration from the RX-78-2 Gundam in its design philosophy, as it could fight in the atmosphere or space with equal efficiency utilizing various equipment packs. The RX-78GP01 Gundam Zephyranthes also features the second iteration of the Core Block System, which places the pilot inside a transformed Core Fighter instead of a traditional cockpit. The RX-78GP01 Gundam Zephyranthes featured two Core Fighters, one for atmospheric combat and another for space use. The RX-78GP01 Gundam Zephyranthes uses the latest Beam Rifle technology, as it’s the first Mobile Suit to utilize interchangeable E-Packs to power the weapon. The RX-78GP01 Gundam Zephyranthes includes two spare E-Packs stored inside the shield to increase firing time.

Included alongside the MG RX-78GP01 Gundam Zephyranthes for accessories:

Articulation –

The MG RX-78GP01 Gundam Zephyranthes is about as old as it gets for currently-in-print Master Grades. The model uses a combination of inner frame pieces and clamshell parts, both supported by an array of polycaps. The MG RX-78GP01 Gundam Zephyranthes features a functioning Core Block System with a transformable Core Fighter to complete the Mobile Suit. Builders can access the Core Fighter’s cockpit in Mobile Suit mode by opening the blue hatches on the chest. The model features the most basic form of double-jointed knees and an early attempt at an armor separation gimmick, showcasing the origins of a now standard feature across all of Bandai’s grades.

Description

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the RX-78GP01 Gundam Zephyranthes with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
