MG MS-18E Kampfer

$49.99

The MS-18E Kampfer is a prototype Mobile Suit created for the Principality of Zeon late into the One Year War as a rapid assault unit. Zeonic Company designed the MS-18E Kampfer for this specific combat role, giving the Mobile Suit minimal armor plating and a massive array of vernier thrusters. The designers opted to omit any skirting armor, improving the MS-18E Kampfer’s mobility significantly. The MS-18E Kampfer does not feature any ranged beam weapons, as they would tax the Mobile Suit’s power generator and reduce its top speed. Instead, the MS-18E Kampfer sorties with a wide array of handheld ballistic weapons to decimate its target and a pair of hidden Beam Sabers to engage enemy Mobile Suits at close range.

Included alongside the MG Kampfer for accessories:

  • Chain Mine
  • 360mm Giant Bazooka II x2
  • ZUX-197 Jagdgewehr 192mm Shotgun x2
  • Shotgun Stock
  • Sturm Faust x2
  • Beam Saber x2

Articulation
 –

The MG Kampfer uses a combination of internal frame pieces and hollow armor sections, all supported by an array of polycaps. This model also utilizes screws in its assembly, helping to stabilize the MG Kampfer during posing. This model features early iterations of double-jointed knees and thighs, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. The MG Kampfer features numerous articulated thrusters, allowing builders to create convincing action poses!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The MS-18E Kampfer utilizes a ballistic shotgun as its primary weapon. This weapon functions with multiple ammo types, each made from high-strength materials such as Luna Titanium. The MS-18E Kampfer carries an additional ZUX-197 Jagdgewehr 192mm Shotgun on its back. Bandai provided an optional stock for builders to attach to either shotgun. The Mobile Suit also sorties with two 360mm Giant Bazooka IIs, the latest iteration of the equipment used by the MS-09 Dom. The MS-18E Kampfer’s most iconic weapon is the massive Chain Mine! This weapon features an array of magnetic mines attached by a large cable. The Mobile Suit can detach each magnet individually, hurling them towards enemy targets and detonating once connected. There are multiple weapon attachment points on the MG Kampfer’s back for builders to store the Mobile Suit’s equipment.

Tips & Tricks

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the MS-18E Kampfer with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
