MG MSM-03 Gogg

$43.99

The MSM-03 Gogg is an amphibious Mobile Suit developed by Zimmad Company for the Principality of Zeon’s growing Mobile Suit Army. Zeon had initially tasked Zeonic with designing their first aquatic unit, the MSM-01 Zaku Marine Type, which failed in its initial testing phase. Zimmad sought a different approach when creating the MSM-03 Gogg, utilizing an all-new frame and armor components to reduce water resistance. The MSM-03 Gogg also features a high-output reactor for powering itself and the array of weapons built into its frame. Zimmad designed the MSM-03 Gogg with a unique water-cooling system, drawing in seawater to move heat away from the reactor. This system also served as the Mobile Suit’s primary means of travel, expelling the superheated seawater to propel itself underwater for a significant period. The MSM-03 Gogg has a limited operation time above water due to its unique cooling system. The Mobile Suit would store seawater in massive internal tanks to continue cooling its reactor while on the surface.

Included alongside the MG Gogg for accessories:

  • 1/100 Zeon Pilot Figure

Articulation
 –

The MG Gogg features an entirely new construction supported by an array of polycaps, as this was the first rendition of this aquatic Mobile Suit in the Master Grade line! This model features double-jointed knees and swiveling thighs, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. The MG Gogg’s uniquely-designed arms feature multiple ball-jointed articulation points and fold inside the Mobile Suit’s torso to accurately replicate its underwater cruising configuration. Bandai included a sheet of marking stickers and dry transfer decals to help builders create a shelf-worthy and lifelike display right out of the box!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The MG Gogg does not utilize handheld equipment, instead featuring an array of built-in weapons throughout its frame. These weapons include the Kia M-23 Mega Particle Guns built into the MG Gogg’s torso. The Kia M-23 Mega Particle Gun was one of the earliest examples of a beam-based weapon powered directly from a Mobile Suit, almost doubling the output of the RX-78-2 Gundam‘s Beam Rifle! The Iron Nails on both manipulators of the MG Gogg articulate individually to help builders create intricate action poses.

Description

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the MG MSM-03 Gogg with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
