MG RGM-79 GM Ver. 2.0

$43.99

The RGM-79 GM was the first mass-production Mobile suit created by the Earth Federation. This MS used data gathered from the RX-78-2 Gundam and the RGM-79[E] GM Early Type as the basis for its design. The RGM-79 GM proved pivotal for the Federation’s victory during the One Year War, so much so that the GM and its later variants would be the primary Federation MS Force until UC0089 when Anaheim Electronics created the RGM-89 Jegan for the Earth Federation.

Included alongside the MG RGM-79 GM 2.0 for accessories:

Articulation
 –

The MG RGM-79 GM borrows most of its internal construction from the MG RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. 2.0, providing a complete inner frame loaded with mechanical detail. The model utilizes double-jointed limbs and swiveling thighs, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. The MG RGM-79 GM features a removable cockpit and functioning hatches on its torso to reveal the 1/100 Federation Pilot Figure seated inside! Bandai included two options for the Mobile Suit’s front skirt armor.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The RGM-79 GM includes the BR-M-79C-1 Beam Spray Gun as its primary weapon. This weapon features a slightly lower output than the RX-78-2’s Beam Rifle but features two additional firing modes. The RGM-79 GM also includes the mass production version of the Hyper Bazooka used by the RX-78-2. The Federation also developed the RGM-79 GM’s Shield based on the prototype Shield tested by the RX-78-2, serving alongside the GM and its later iterations well after the Grypps War. The RGM-79 includes a single Beam Saber attached to its backpack, with an extra hilt and Beam Effect listed as unused parts!

Tips & Tricks

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the RGM-79 GM Ver. 2.0 with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
