MG RGM-89 Jegan

$49.99

The RGM-89 Jegan follows the long lineage of Mass Produced Federation Mobile Suits started by the RGM-79 GM during the One Year War. Unlike previous Federation Mass Production units, Anaheim Electronics was responsible for the RGM-89 Jegan’s construction and development. The RGM-89 Jegan combines everything the Federation and Anaheim Electronics had learned in 20 years of Mobile Suit production to create a new standard for mass-produced MS. The Jegan surpassed the GM III in maneuverability and handling, thanks to its updated Titanium Alloy Ceramic Composite armor. The Jegans would see their first major conflict with the start of the Second Neo-Zeon War in UC0093 and quickly became the Earth Federation’s go-to Mobile Suits, receiving many variants during its production run. It wasn’t until UC0110 that the Federation replaced the RGM-89 Jegan with the RGM-89J Jegan Normal Type, which featured notable performance upgrades but maintained the original control scheme.

Included alongside the RGM-79 Jegan for accessories:

  • Beam Rifle
  • Shield
  • Beam Saber
  • Action Base Adapter

The MG RGM-89 Jegan is a full-featured modern Master Grade release with a complete inner frame and a functioning cockpit. The MG Jegan is one of only a handful of Master Grades using <250 pieces, making it an excellent choice for beginners looking to build their first Master Grade. The RGM-89 Jegan’s simplistic, polycap-free inner frame provides the model with an exceptional range of motion and the strength to hold a pose for years on end!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The RGM-89 Jegan uses a Beam Rifle as its primary weapon. This weapon features a shortened barrel for increased handling. Reducing the output of this weapon allowed the RGM-89 Jegan to increase its fire rate significantly. The RGM-89 Jegan’s shield contains four missiles molded in color for an extra level of detail. The Jegan’s Shield attaches to the forearm with two distinct points of articulation, allowing builders to create dynamic action poses effortlessly!

Description

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the RGM-89 Jegan with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
