MG RGZ-91 Re-GZ

$44.99

The RGZ-91 Re-GZ is a prototype Mobile Suit developed by Anaheim Electronics to replicate the abilities and performance of the MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam. Anaheim Electronics designed the RGZ-91 Re-GZ with a more cost-effective transformation than its predecessor, as this Mobile Suit was to enter mass production. The RGZ-91 Re-GZ utilized the unique Back Weapon System, which contained most of the Mobile Suit’s flight equipment, allowing Anaheim to design the Mobile Suit’s frame with a much simpler transformation. The RGZ-91 Re-GZ also utilized several components from the RGM-89 Jegan as a cost-reduction measure. Amuro Ray would use the prototype RGZ-91 Re-GZ early in the Second Neo-Zeon War in a failed attempt to stop the Fifth Luna Asteroid from colliding with Earth.

Included alongside the MG Re-GZ for accessories:

  • Beam Rifle
  • Beam Saber x2
  • Beam Saber Hilt x2
  • Shield
  • Waverider Display Stand

Articulation
 –

The MG Re-GZ features an entirely new construction supported by an array of polycaps, as this was the first rendition of this Mobile Suit in the Master Grade line! This model features double-jointed knees and elbows, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. This model also features a simple transformation that allows the Mobile Suit to connect with the Back Weapon System and form the MG Re-GZ’s Waverider Mode. Bandai provided a simple display base for displaying the model in this form. The MG Re-GZ includes small sheets of marking stickers and dry-transfer decals to help builders create a realistic appearance right out of the box!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The MG Re-GZ includes a simple Beam Saber as its primary armament. This weapon fits snugly inside the Mobile Suit’s shield when the MG Re-GZ enters Waverider Mode. The MG Re-GZ also sorties with a pair of Beam Saber Hilts stored in its backpack. Bandai provided two activated hilts with unique beam effects for builders to display in the model’s manipulators. Builders can also deploy the 2-tube Grenade Launchers built into the MG Re-GZ’s wrists, just like in the anime!

Description

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the MG RGZ-91 Re-GZ with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
