MG ZGMF-1017 Mobile Ginn

$53.99

The ZGMF-1017 Mobile GINN is a mass production Mobile Suit developed by the Heinlein Design Bureau to fill out the ranks of ZAFT’s military. The ZGMF-1017 Mobile GINN was the first official mass-production Mobile Suit operated by ZAFT forces during the First Alliance-PLANT War and served many roles with the introduction of several sub-variants. ZAFT designed the ZGMF-1017 Mobile GINN as a versatile machine, providing above-average maneuverability in space or the atmosphere. The ZGMF-1017 Mobile GINN also supports various equipment packs and weapons thanks to a series of hardpoints built into the Mobile Suit’s frame. Aside from the standard variants of the Mobile GINN, ZAFT would allow several of their Ace Pilots to make personal customizations to their own Mobile GINN units. This Master Grade rendition of the ZGMF-1017 Mobile GINN builds into the Mobile Suit’s most basic form, featuring the most common color scheme seen throughout Mobile Suit Gundam SEED.

Included alongside the MG Mobile GINN for accessories:

  • MA-M3 Heavy Blade
  • MMI-M8A3 76mm Heavy Assault Machine Gun
  • Magazine Rack
  • Spare Magazine x3
  • M68 Pardus Short-Range Guided 3-Barrel Missile Launcher x2

Articulation
 –

The MG Mobile GINN borrows several internal components from the previously released MG ZGMF-1000/A1 Gunner Zaku Warrior (Lunamaria Hawke Custom), showcasing the shared design philosophy connecting all ZAFT Mobile Suits. This model is a fully featured Master Grade, utilizing a complete internal construction with a functioning cockpit hatch that reveals the 1/100 scale ZAFT Pilot seated within! The thruster units attached to the MG Mobile GINN’s backpack are fully articulated, making it much easier for builders to create intricate flying poses!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The MG Mobile GINN includes the MMI-M8A3 76mm Heavy Assault Machine Gun as its primary ranged armament. This weapon is handheld in operation and attaches to the Mobile Suit’s back skirt for storage. The MA-M3 Heavy Blade included with the MG Mobile GINN features a powerful blade that can penetrate non-Phase Shift armor easily. This weapon attaches to the model’s side skirt armor for storage. Builders can attach the M68 Pardus Short-Range Guided 3-Barrel Missile Launcher to the hardpoints on the MG Mobile GINN’s leg armor or hold them in the model’s manipulators!

Description

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the MG ZGMF-1017 Mobile Ginn with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
