One Piece Iron Pirates BF38 General Franky

$44.99

General Franky is a super radical mechanical masterpiece created by none other than Franky, the shipwright of the Straw Hat Pirates. This massive metal machine combines two vehicles stored within the Thousand Sunny’s Soldier Docks, the Kurosai FR-U IV and the Brachio Tank V. These two vehicles are the latest creations of Franky, occupying the fourth and fifth Soldier Docks. The Kurosai FR-U IV is a three-wheeled motorcycle used to transport crewmembers and ram through hordes of enemies without stopping. The second vehicle used to create General Franky is the Brachio Tank V. Usopp and Chopper are typically in charge of operating the Brachio Tank V, which features a forward-facing cannon for engaging targets. The Brachio Tank V features two tank treads for maneuvering, but it can also transform and walk on the legs attached to its rear for emergencies. The transformation to General Franky requires activation from both vehicles, also ejecting the inhabitants of the Brachio Tank V to make room for Franky in the cockpit of General Franky. Once transformed, Franky has total access to General Franky’s onboard armaments while retaining complete control of his cyborg weapons. On multiple occasions, Franky has taken advantage of this by creating improvised combination techniques utilizing attacks from General Franky and his own body in succession to catch foes off guard.

Included within the General Franky model kit:

  • Kurosai FR-U IV
  • Brachio Tank V
  • General Franky Head
  • Franken Sword
  • General Cannon
  • Wrist Adapter x2
  • Wrist Armor x2
  • Display Base

Notable Attributes:

The General Franky model kit requires the individual assembly of the Kurosai FR-U IV and Brachio Tank, with supplemental instructions to disassemble and transform the vehicles into General Franky with a handful of additional parts. General Franky features unusual proportions and articulation points, but they accurately depict General Franky as it appears in the manga and the anime. Bandai provided a display base to showcase your General Franky in its assembled form, as its narrow waist and skinny legs are incapable of supporting the model under the weight of its upper body. General Franky’s arms provide enough range of motion to recreate the General Cannon attack and, most importantly, reach high above the model’s head for Franky’s iconic Super pose!

This kit includes:

12 Runners total (A, B1, B2, B3, C, D, E1, E2, F1/F3, F2, G1, G2, H)
Total Piece Count – 201 Pieces
Foil + Marking Stickers

Description

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on General Franky with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
