PG RX-78GP01 Gundam GP01 / GP01Fb “Zephyranthes”

The RX-78GP01 Gundam Zephyranthes is the first product of the Earth Federation’s Gundam Development Project, which sought to outpace the Mobile Suits developed by Zeon at the time. The RX-78GP01 Gundam Zephyranthes drew obvious inspiration from the RX-78-2 Gundam in its design philosophy, as it could fight in the atmosphere or space with equal efficiency utilizing various equipment packs. The RX-78GP01 Gundam Zephyranthes also features the second iteration of the Core Block System, which places the pilot inside a transformed Core Fighter instead of a traditional cockpit. Anaheim Electronics would later upgrade the RX-78GP01 Gundam Zephyranthes into the RX-78GP01Fb Gundam Full Burnern, which utilizes new equipment and armor created by Anaheim Electronics for space combat. These additions included new leg armor, skirt armor, shoulder armor, and a reconfigured chest, all featuring powerful vernier thrusters to keep the Mobile Suit as agile as possible. The RX-78GP01Fb Gundam Full Burnern also received a new Core Fighter with two articulated Universal Boost Pods, increasing the Mobile Suit’s mobility. Aside from the RX-78GP01Fb Gundam Full Burnern’s updated equipment, the Mobile Suit uses a slight variation of the Zephyranthes’ color scheme, paying homage to the RX-78-2 Gundam‘s classic tricolor paint.

Articulation –

The PG Gundam GP01/fb features an entirely new construction supported by an array of polycaps, screws, and Die Cast parts, as this was the first rendition of this Mobile Suit in the Perfect Grade Line! This model features double-jointed knees and elbows, providing a wide range of motion to create dynamic poses. The PG Gundam GP01/fb includes all the parts to build either configuration of this iconic Mobile Suit, featuring a transformable rendition of both core fighters. The PG Gundam GP01/fb also features several opening hatches that reveal the Mobile Suit’s inner workings and the 1/60 scale Kou Uraki seated inside! This model includes LED parts for the Mobile Suit’s eye sensors, only requiring two LR43 batteries for activation! Bandai provided thorough sheets of color-correcting and marking stickers to help customize the PG Gundam GP01/fb right out of the box!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The PG Gundam GP01/fb includes the BOWA XBR-M-82-05H Beam Rifle as its primary armament. This weapon features an articulated camera sensor and a forward handle for added stability when firing. This weapon can also project a small Beam Jutte for last-minute close-quarters attacks. The PG Gundam GP01/fb also includes the standard 90mm rifle used by many Federation Mobile Suits. This rendition of the 90mm Rifle features an extending barrel and stock, as well as a removable magazine. The PG Gundam GP01/fb includes two Beam Sabers attached to its backpack when not in use.
