RG #04 MS-06F Zaku II

The MS-06 Zaku II is easily one of the most iconic designs from Mobile Suit Gundam, making up the bulk of Zeon’s forces in space, throughout the colonies, and on Earth. The Zaku II has seen countless revamps and redesigns, even appearing in other Gundam Universes with different model kits to match. This Real Grade rendition of the Zaku II builds into the MS-06F variant, which featured subtle upgrades to the Mobile Suit’s power plant and a weight reduction. The RG MS-06F Zaku II comes in its iconic Zeon Green color scheme but is almost identical to the RG #02 MS-06S Zaku II (Char Aznable Custom) in terms of construction.

Articulation –

The Real Grade MS-06F Zaku II was one of the earliest Bandai models to utilize pre-molded inner frame pieces in its assembly. These parts combine hard and soft plastics to create large movable joint sections, to which builders apply additional frame pieces and armor over the pre-molded parts. The MS-06F Zaku II uses twice as many pieces as its High Grade counterpart, providing much greater color accuracy on the 1/144th scale. The RG MS-06F Zaku II provides an efficient method for recreating the Mobile Suit’s heat piping, similar to the slide-assembly gimmick found in the MG MS-06J Zaku II Ver. 2.0. This technology drastically reduces the hassle of attaching the armored rings without sacrificing color accuracy.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The MS-06F Zaku II includes all the iconic Zaku weapons you’d expect to find alongside Zeon’s mass production Mobile Suits during the One Year War. Each armament features updated designs loaded with surface detail without straying from the silhouette of the source material. These weapons feature the same excellent color separation as the MS-06F Zaku II, providing some of the best-looking 1/144 scale weapons Bandai has ever made! Builders can detach the magazine from atop the Zaku Machine Gun and store it on the rear or side skirt armor. Bandai also included an adapter to attach the Heat Hawk on the MS-06F Zaku II’s skirt armor. The Hyper Bazooka also fits right into a dedicated storage location on the back skirt. Each weapon features protruding tabs made to fit directly into the MS-06F Zaku II’s manipulators for a secure hold.
