RG #10 MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam

$37.99

The Zeta Gundam was one of Anaheim Electronic’s first successful attempts at creating a transformable Mobile Suit. This state-of-the-art Mobile Suit is the brainchild of the AEUG’s newest member, Kamille Bidan, who joined the AEUG after helping them steal the RX-178 Gundam MK-II units stationed in the Gryps Space Colony. The Zeta Gundam can transform into a massive aerial fighter known as a Waverider. In Waverider Mode, the Zeta Gundam can maneuver at incredible speeds while retaining most of the Mobile Suit’s functions. The Waverider performs just as well in the atmosphere as in space, giving it a significant advantage over other Mobile Suits. The Zeta Gundam was pivotal to the AEUG’s success during the Gryps Conflict and continued to fight on the frontlines during Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ alongside its successor, the MSZ-010 ZZ Gundam.

Included alongside the RG Zeta Gundam for accessories:

Articulation
 –

The RG Zeta Gundam was one of the earliest Bandai models to utilize pre-molded frame parts in its assembly. These parts combine hard and soft plastics to create large movable joint sections, to which builders apply additional frame pieces and armor over the pre-molded parts. The RG Zeta Gundam uses twice as many pieces as its High Grade counterpart, providing much greater color accuracy on the 1/144th scale. Unlike the most recent High Grade version of the Zeta Gundam, this Real Grade rendition can transform into Waverider mode without needing additional parts! This transformation increases the piece count of the RG Zeta Gundam by a significant margin, as it uses many small articulated parts in its frame to support this gimmick.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

Each weapon features updated designs loaded with surface detail without straying from the silhouette of the source material. These weapons feature the same excellent color separation as the Zeta Gundam, providing some of the best-looking 1/144 scale weapons Bandai has ever made! The Zeta Gundam’s loadout includes the typical Gundam accoutrements, including a Beam Rifle, shield, and two Beam Sabers. You’ll also find a pair of wrist-mounted grenade launchers for the Zeta Gundam with a deployable barrel hidden inside the forearm. This model also includes an additional grenade launcher to attach to the shield, an equipment piece only showcased in the 3 part movie retelling of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam.

Description

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the Zeta Gundam with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
