RG #11 ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam

$31.99

The ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam is the latest and greatest in ZAFT’s Mobile Suit technology. As seen in the closing chapters of Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny, the ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam is a further development of the ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam. ZAFT swapped out the Silhouette System for a single, vast loadout designed to fit any scenario. The ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam uses the latest Voiture Luminere propulsion system mounted inside an improved version of the Freedom Gundam’s wing system. This combination grants the ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam immense maneuverability and creates the iconic Wings of Light effect.

Included alongside the ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam for accessories:

  • MA-BAR73/S High Energy Beam Rifle

Articulation
 –

The RG Destiny Gundam was one of the earliest Bandai models to utilize pre-molded inner frame pieces in its assembly. These parts combine hard and soft plastics to create large movable joint sections, to which builders apply additional frame pieces and armor over the pre-molded parts. The RG Destiny Gundam uses twice as many pieces as its High Grade counterpart, providing much greater color accuracy on the 1/144th scale. The RG Destiny Gundam hosts countless articulation points within its slender frame, providing builders with extreme posing potential. The Destiny Gundam also features several armor sliding gimmicks for a truly dynamic feel.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

Each weapon features updated designs loaded with surface detail without straying from the silhouette of the source material. These weapons feature the same excellent color separation as the Destiny Gundam, providing some of the best-looking 1/144 scale weapons Bandai has ever made! The ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam’s loadout primarily consists of improved versions of the ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam’s Sihouette Weapons. Attached to its back is the MMI-714 “Arondight” Beam Sword, developed from the Sword Impulse’s MMI-710 Excalibur. Like its predecessor, the Arondight is more than strong enough to slice even massive Mobile Suits like the Destroy Gundam in half! The ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam shares new equipment with its sister suit, the ZGMF-X666S Legend Gundam, including the “Solidus Fulgor” Beam Shield and the “Palma Fiocina” Palm Beam Cannons. There’s tons more included in this kit, so be sure to get your hands on a copy when available next!

Description

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the Destiny Gundam with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
