$37.99

The Force Impulse is a highly adaptable and maneuverable Mobile Suit constructed for ZAFT ace pilots after realizing just how much a single, high-powered Mobile Suit could change the tides of battle. The ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam is essentially the ZAFT version of the Strike Gundam. Both suits utilize various interchangeable equipment packs to fill a slew of roles on the battlefield. The ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam commonly sorties with the α Force Silhouette to create the Force Impulse Gundam! The α Force Silhouette functions almost identically to the original Aile Striker pack and allows the Force Impulse Gundam to fly in the atmosphere at impressive speeds. For easy deployment to the battlefield, the Force Impulse Gundam uses the Core Splendor System, which separates the Gundam into three parts, the Chest Flyer, Leg Flyer, and a Core Splendor.

Included alongside the Force Impulse Gundam for accessories:

  • MA-BAR72 High-Energy Beam Rifle
  • MA-M941 “Vajra” Beam Saber x2
  • M71-AAK “Folding Razor” Anti-Armor Knife x2
  • MMI-RG59V Mobile Shield
  • Silhouette Flyer
  • Chest Flyer Adapter
  • Leg Flyer/Action Base Adapter
  • Core Splendor Adapter
  • 1/144 Shinn Asuka Figure

Articulation
 –

The RG Force Impulse Gundam is one of many early Real Grade models utilizing pre-molded inner frame pieces in its assembly. These parts combine hard and soft plastics to create large movable joint sections, to which builders apply additional frame pieces and armor over the pre-molded parts. Bandai has significantly reduced the number of premolded joints within the Force Impulse Gundam’s frame, creating a much sturdier final product. The RG Force Impulse Gundam uses twice as many pieces as its High Grade counterpart, providing much greater color accuracy on the 1/144th scale. This model kit’s manual calls for the individual construction of the Chest Flyer, Leg Flyer, Core Splendor, and the α Force Silhouette, with supplemental instructions to combine into the Force Impulse Gundam. Each segment features an attached action base adapter, allowing builders to display each section individually!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

Each armament features updated designs loaded with surface detail without straying from the silhouette of the source material. These weapons feature the same excellent color separation as the Force Impulse Gundam, providing some of the best-looking 1/144 scale weapons Bandai has ever made! The Force Impulse Gundam’s Beam Rifle shares a strong likeness with the ZGMF-X20A Freedom Gundam’s Beam Rifle, only without the added armor plating. When the Force Impulse unequips its Beam Rifle, it clips into the back skirt armor for easy access. The Force Impulse Gundam includes two anti-armor knives folded up inside its side skirt armor and a pair of Beam Sabers attached to the Force Silhouette.

This kit includes:

13 Runners total (A, B, C1, C2, D1, D2, E[x2], F1, F2, G1, H, SB13)
Total Piece Count – 284 Pieces

Description

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the Force Impulse Gundam with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
